A Busy Day for DRM

This past Saturday was one for the books. We had not one, but two opportunities to serve and connect with our community—and it was such a blessing to be part of both.

We started our morning in Lenox, Georgia, right at the stoplight, for our Community Breakfast. There’s something so special about starting the day with people, sharing food, and simply being present. We served around 50 people, offering “breakfast in a cup”—simple, warm, and made with love. It may not seem like much, but moments like that remind us how powerful it is to just show up for others.

From there, we headed straight to Moultrie, Georgia for the Spring Fling Festival at the square—and what a shift that was! With over 2,000 people in attendance, the energy was incredible. We set up our tent and spent the afternoon connecting with the community in a different way.

We had shirts, keychains, jewelry, handmade pouches, wristlets, and even some new shirt designs available. Every conversation, every smile, every person who stopped by—it all mattered. It wasn’t just about selling items; it was about sharing who we are and what we stand for. While we were there. we also tried raising money for our youth by selling raffle tickets for a toolbox, helping support future trips and outings. Seeing the community come alongside us in that effort was such an encouragement.

It was a long day, but a good one. A full one. The kind of day that reminds you why you do what you do. From feeding people in the morning to fellowship in the afternoon, God was present in every moment.
